Officers

Ermil Adamson, President

Ermil has been in the insurance business for over 30 years. During that time, he has worked as an agent, an underwriter, a sales manager, a marketing manager, a personal lines manager and Assistant Vice President of Personal Lines. As Vice President and General Manager at Michigan Insurance Company, he helped form the company in 1996. Ermil received a B.A. from Central Michigan University and has attained the CPCU and CIC insurance designations.

Michelle Zimmerman, Vice President of Operations

Michelle has been in the insurance business for over 20 years. Before coming to Michigan Insurance Company, she worked at Citizens Insurance Company for nine years where she spent most of her time as a Claims Adjuster. She joined Michigan Insurance Company in 1998 as a Claims Manager and served in that capacity for our West Business Unit through 2008. She served as Vice President for our Central Business Unit in 2009, until she moved into her current role in 2010. She received a B.B.A. from Davenport College.

Kerri McNees, Vice President of the Claims Unit

Kerri has been in the insurance business for over 25 years. She began her career with Underwriters Adjusting Company and worked in various claims adjusting capacities for five years. She worked for a number of years as an adjuster, claims supervisor and claims manager, ending her tenure with another company as Branch Manager. Kerri became a Vice President of Michigan Insurance Company in 1997. She has attained the AIC insurance designation.

Andrew Holmes, Vice President of the East Business Unit

Drew has been in the insurance business for over 17 years. He began his career with Foremost Insurance Company in personal lines underwriting. He then moved into a commercial lines underwriting and sales role at Westfield Insurance Company as a Marketing Manager. Drew joined Michigan Insurance in 2005 as a Commercial Lines Account Executive. During his career at Michigan Insurance he has also held the position of Commercial Lines Manager for the both the West and East Business Units. Drew has a B.B.A. from Western Michigan University and has attained CRM and CIC insurance designations.

Andrew Fischer, Vice President of the North Business Unit

Andrew has been in the insurance business for over 15 years. He began his career as a property adjuster. He then moved into commercial lines underwriting at Citizens. He joined Michigan Insurance Company in 2000 as a commercial account executive. While at Michigan Insurance Company, he has also served as commercial lines manager and personal lines manager. Andrew received a B.A. from the University of Michigan and has attained the CIC and ARM insurance designations.

Melissa Veenstra, Vice President of the West Business Unit

Melissa has been with Michigan Insurance Company for over 10 years, working initially as a Personal Lines Account Executive, and then as a manager in both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines in the West Business Unit. Melissa started her insurance career as an agent before moving on to a Personal Lines underwriting position for a Regional Carrier. While there, she also worked as a Division Systems Analyst and was promoted to a Territory Manager position. Melissa has completed the AIM program and is currently completing her CPCU designation.

Patrick Roeser, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Pat graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He obtained a M.B.A. from Western Michigan University. He spent the first seven years of his career with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, which at the time was one of the "big 8" public accounting firms. Pat then directed the finance function at Eagle Ottawa Leather which is the world's largest manufacturer of leather for the auto industry. Pat brought his finance expertise to Michigan Insurance Company in 2004.
